The Inspire Curriculum

Since the introduction of the new National Curriculum 2014, school have been given more freedom to develop and deliver their own curriculum. At Stanton Road the foundation to our broad and balanced curriculum is the Inspire Curriculum, which is an integrated thematic curriculum that links to the wider world of work, life-skills and learning outside of the classroom.  Our staff have adapted the Inspire Curriculum to create a curriculum for the children of Stanton Road Primary School that is not only interesting and enjoyable but also relevant to them. Across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, the children will cover between 6-8 units each academic year. We have also personalised our curriculum through the introduction of whole school 'Theme Weeks' as topics chosen by the pupils themselves.

An overview of the content of each theme in each year band can be viewed by clicking on the Whole School Curriculum Map below:

Further details can be seen in by visiting the Inspire Units in each year band.
